Realizing cross cultural stories connecting generations

3CG | Third Culture to the Third Generation

We are a ministry whose mission is to develop and curate SAAC (South Asian American Christian) stories through communities, compassion and creativity built upon four dimensions of the Love of God (Ephesians 3:14-21). Currently, we are incubating the concept with resonators and welcome support and participation. Join the fun!

Community

“What I discovered is, heritage doesn't puff you up with pride. It really humbles you. If you look at the lives of the people you come from you kind of go, 'if they had married anyone else, if they had moved anywhere else, if their lives had been one iota different, I wouldn't be here.' And so you have, not a big debt, not a crushing debt to pay, but you are a part of an ongoing thing. You are not alone in this world. You are part of an ensemble.”

COMPASSION

“There is a strength, a power even, in understanding brokenness, because embracing our brokenness creates a need and desire for mercy, and perhaps a corresponding need to show mercy…Mercy is just when it is rooted in hopefulness and freely given. Mercy is most empowering, liberating, and transformative when it is directed at the undeserving. The people who haven’t earned it, who haven’t even sought it, are the most meaningful recipients of our compassion.”

Creativity

“Like Mary’s expensive oil, our expression flows out as a response to grace in our lives. Even if you are not cognizant of a grace reality, you can still create in the possibility of future grace. That takes faith to do, but if you can do that, you will be joining so many artists of the past who wrestled deeply with faith, doubt, poverty, rejection, longing and yet chose to create. Know that the author of creativity longs for you to barge in, break open the gift you have been saving; he will not only receive you, he can bring you purpose behind the battle, and rebuke those who reject you.”
